Multimedia Print

Multimedia describes the delivery of information in a combination of several media types (text, audio, video, graphics, animation). Traditionally, it was delivered mainly on CD-ROM due to the limitations of bandwidth and technology on the web. With the increase in horsepower of the average computer and the greater access to high bandwidth, multimedia through the web is very common nowadays. Sometimes, it's use is out of place whilst at other times, when combined with good design, it can really enhance the user experience.

This section is divided in the main elements of multimedia that are on the web today. Text and graphics have not been included as they are more of the traditional elements available on the web since it's inception. We will go through animation, audio and video, interactivity and multimedia applications.
