Design Tips Print

One of the best resources that I have come across in terms of information that is practical and can be implemented in your project at all stages of the design process is the book entitled "Web ReDesign 2.0: Workflow that works". It has a great workflow that you can follow to different depths and it helps you keep the key considerations of the design process in focus.

Traditionally, designing for the web has taken most of it's principles from the design for print. However, with the web becoming increasingly rich with other types of media than just text, new design paradigms are coming into play. One of the strong influences is "experience design" which focuses on the user experience and considers the interaction with the user interface and the richness of the experience.

In this section, we will focus on resources relating to graphic design for the appeal of your webpages, information architecture which deals with how your web pages are connected to each other and user paths to the content and information design to arrange the elements of your webpages in a pleasing and functional fashion.
