Members of the University of Alberta community are eligible to receive an AICT-provided Campus Computing ID (CCID), a gateway to many central computing services at the University.
A CCID/password combination is issued to a student applicant upon receipt of his or her application for admission to the University. An e-mail account is provided for the purposes of official communication between the applicant and the University.
CCIDs are automatically created for all new faculty and staff. Students receive CCIDs upon their acceptance for enrollment at the University. CCID account information is sent to their personal email addresses within 2 days of an electronic application submission. If it is a hard copy application submission, they will receive their CCID account information within 2 days of the application being entered into the system.
There are two options available for picking up new CCIDs or resetting passwords: 1. Go to General Services Building 301 or 303 with your valid picture identification. 2. Phone the AICT CCID Account Administrator at (780) 492-0400 during regular business hours from a phone (office or home) that is registered to the individual requesting the change.
